If you are new to freediving, book this class after your Level 0 and 1 classes.
If you have substantial prior freediving or spearfishing experience, but no formal certification, you can join this class straight after Level 0, without taking Level 1 in between.
This class runs from 9am to 3pm every Saturday at San Carlos beach in Monterey.
We keep these classes very small (maximum 3 students per instructor) to make sure everyone gets enough dive time and attention.
There is no depth requirement to continue from this class to a Level 3 (Advanced) class - you just need to demonstrate your knowledge of the complete set of safety protocols for line training.
If you are working towards an AIDA 2 (Intermediate) certification, the key open-water challenges for this certification are a dive to 10m and a rescue from 5m. If you don't pass these challenges right away in your Level 2 class, you can continue to work towards them in the next class, Level 3.
