Deepen your freediving! This class prepares you with the safety knowledge and techniques to freedive up to 100 feet.
In this class you will learn...
Pressure
Learn how to handle water pressure that is two to four times that which we experience at the surface.
Relaxation
Learn to deepen your relaxation through visualization, and how to create a positive feedback loop between oxygen consumption and the mind.
Safety
Learn the exact reason most freediving blackouts occur, and how to avoid them. Get thorough training in advanced safety, include deep underwater buddying and rescue.

Location

This class takes place at the best spot for deep freediving in all of California, Lake Berryessa.

With depth accessible only a few minutes swim from shore, in calm water that is over 80 degrees in summer, you'll learn advanced freediving skills in close-to-perfect conditions.
What's included?

  • Any basic gear you need to borrow - mask / snorkel / fins / weightbelt / weights - although we do encourage you to purchase your own.
  • All AIDA learning materials and certifications.

What's not included:

  • Wetsuit. You are welcome to bring your own or purchase one from us for pickup at class.
  • Food.
  • Transportation.
Purchasing your own gear

You don't need to own a mask & snorkel, fins, weights or weight belt to take this class - you can borrow them from us for free - but the one piece of gear you do need to own is a wetsuit.


We recommend bringing a 3mm wetsuit in the summer, or a 7mm in winter (or any time of year if you are also planning to use it in the ocean).


You are welcome to purchase one from us for pickup at class, where you can try it on for size and swap it if it doesn't fit.
