Blessed with a mild climate and abundant marine life, Northern California has an incredible diversity of freediving spots, from wild ocean coves to mountain lakes.

The Yucatan peninsula of Mexico is unique in the freediving world because it sits on a limestone plateau punctuated with deep freshwater wells known as "cenotes". Some of these cenotes are already deeper than any human has ever freedived, and more are being discovered all the time.

The volcanic Caribbean island of Dominica harbors one of the world's best freediving spots - Soufriere, a deep bay carved from the crater of an ancient volcano.
